Enrolment

Candidates who meet the basic entrance requirements, and have passed the entrance examination, can be enrolled as students, provided the tuition fee is paid each year before 1 September.

After having been admitted, students may enrol as a student at the Conservatory. As from the study year 2008-2009 it is possible to do this online by using Studielink, the portal for enrolment in higher education in the Netherlands. Studielink allows students to arrange their applications for (re-)enrolment, cancellation or change of address at a single location on-line. With the Proof of Admittance students will receive further information on how to use Studielink.

After enrolment, students of the professional training programmes receive a student card via the Amsterdam School of the Arts. This card allows free access or price reductions on tickets for concerts, professional literature, sheet music etc., and for activities organised by the Amsterdam School of the Arts.

Start of academic year
In the summer all students will receive information from the Student Registrar Office about how to obtain the study schedule, introduction programme, when the lessons start, etcetera. After arrival in The Netherlands please visit the Enrolment Office for enrolment and to obtain your student card.

If required, please apply for your residence permit for study.

Cancellation
The enrolment can only be cancelled before the study year has started. The Student Registrar Office of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam has to be informed of this in writing. If the enrolment is cancelled after the study year has started, the student has to pay the full amount of the tuition fee, except for students who enrol for the propedeutic year for the first time, for those students the rules are different.
