Saxophone
The saxophone occupies a special place within the woodwind section; teachers are Arno Bornkamp and Henk van Twillert. Each year saxophone students take part in a saxophone quartet and the saxophone orchestra for one semester respectively. The section offers much opportunity for specialisation in contemporary chamber music and participation in projects and optional subjects such as jazz and light music. Every other year an 
International Saxophone Week will be organised, with teachers and students from abroad, a project which has been very successful in the past years.
