The master's degree programme in music comprises 120 credits (based on ECTS; the European Credit Transfer System) to be obtained in two years of study (1 credit = 28 study hours)

Credits for the Master's Degree Programme in Performance, Classical*
principal subject / instrument: minimum 55, maximum 75 credits
research: minumum 15, maximum 25 credits
master electives: minimum 20, maximum 30 credits
individual electives: minimum 10 credits
Total minimum: 120 credits

Credits for the Master's Degree Programme in Performance, Jazz
principal study: 60 credits
ensembles: 20 credits
graduation project & research: 10 credits
master electives: 20 credits
individual credits: 10
Total: 120 credits

* The remaining MMus programmes have a similar division of credits.

The two-year Master of Music in Music Theory programme consists of a total of 120 credits.
