The Conservatorium van Amsterdam has set up the Junior Jazz College, an education programme to prepare young and gifted jazz musicians from age 12-18 for the Conservatory entrance examination. This programme gives prospective students the opportunity to learn to play together, to learn to play solos, to acquaint themselves with the jazz repertoire and to gain stage experience. The education programme offers principal private lessons for the instruments trumpet, trombone, saxophone, piano, voice, bass, guitar and drums. In addition to this there are ear training and theory group lessons.
